Wormwood Scrubs is brewed in the tradition of 19th century British strong ales. Stock ales have a unique “mature” character caused by secondary fermentation in oak casks.
Our stock ale is aged with Brettanomyces claussenii, the same strain that was first discovered in English stock ale barrels. Expect notes of fig, vanilla, dark fruit, bourbon, and a touch of funk and a dry, lively finish.
