RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities of this Director of Operations / Integrator include, but are not limited to:

Leadership, Management and Accountability for the organization as a whole:

  • Oversee Culture & Education, Marketing, Wholesale Sales, Production Operations, Retail Operations, and Finance departments
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication and interactions across and between departments
  • Manage the yearly business plan – Accountable for the P&L (financial results including capital spends and working capital)
  • Translate and define the Co-founder’s ideas – Create the strategy for implementation

Ownership of operations:

  • Accountable for day-to-day operations
  • Complete special projects when needed
  • Remove barriers and obstacles for department leads

Support the team in every way possible:

  • Provide coaching and mentoring for the team
  • Identify areas of opportunity to improve efficiencies across the organization
  • Evaluate existing structures and develop appropriate organizational structures to scale for growth

Strategic relationships:

  • Regularly participate in Same Page meetings with the Co-founders – ensure a strong relationship and alignment
  • Facilitate weekly senior leadership meetings, one on ones, and quarterly planning meetings
  • Act as a brand ambassador at all times
  • Network and build strategic relationships within the industry and build brand recognition and affinity

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 5+ years leadership experience
  • 3+ years operations management experience
  • 4-year degree or relevant work experience

Preferred

  • 10+ years leadership experience
  • Experience leading multiple departments simultaneously
  • Experience having overall financial responsibility
  • Experience working for a company with less than 200 employees
  • Experience leading a company through a high growth phase
  • CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry experience

Desired

  • Craft beer industry experience in a brewery producing over 20k barrels
  • MBA or similar
  • An understanding of EOS

Reuben’s has grown significantly over the last few years, presenting the need for this role. This role will report to our Brewery Operations Manager and has one primary goal: to ensure the smooth management of brewing and cellar operations.  

The successful applicant will be a member of the brewery operations management team and work closely with the brewery operations leadership in day-to-day operations.

The role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the brewing and cellar team;
  • Provide direction to the team and ensure the production plan is completed;
  • Be a resource in the brewhouse and cellar and help accomplish production when needed;
  • Be accountable for and own all brewing and cellar operations;
  • Train staff on SOPs and maintain accountability for the completion of these procedures;
  • Be a troubleshooting resource for tasks;
  • Understand and plan production specific maintenance, conduct as necessary;
  • Coordinate with other production managers to build and execute planning;
  • Write and manage labor scheduling;
  • EKOS (ERP) management and processing.

 

Qualifications required:

To be considered, you must have:

  • Previously worked in a leadership role in a fast growing brewery;
  • 2+ years related experience required, 5+ years preferred;
  • Strong people management skills and experience;
  • Related degree or professional qualification would be highly beneficial;
  • A passion for the beer industry, including a strong knowledge of Reuben’s.
  • Understanding of ERP systems, and ability to process data in them.

Reuben’s has grown significantly over the last few years, presenting the need for this role opening. This role will report to our Head Brewer and will be responsible for production of our award-winning beer from grain to glass. 

The successful applicant will be a member of the brew and cellar team and work closely with team members throughout all aspects of brewery production.

The role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Conducting all production tasks from grain to glass;
  • Focusing on raw material handling, wort production, cellar movement, dry hopping, yeast harvesting, beer finishing, and SIP/CIP of hot and cold side equipment;
  • Helping out throughout all aspects of production when needed;
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment for themselves and others;
  • Basic troubleshooting of equipment and process and basic maintenance;
  • Training production staff as needed.

 

Qualifications required:

Reuben’s has grown significantly over the last few years, presenting the need for this new role. This new role is an entry level role into the brewery, and will report to our Packaging Manager. It has one primary goal: to assist with the smooth packaging of our beer.

The successful applicant will be a member of the brewery operations team and work closely with the other brewing and packaging team members.

  • Setting up and shutting down packaging lines (canning, bottling, kegging)
  • Keg washing and filling

The Sales Manager will report to the Director of Sales and has the primary goals of ensuring strong wholesale sales operations as well as building strong retail customer relationships. The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Pour delight for wholesale partners;
  • Pour delight for retail customers;
  • Run special projects as applicable.

To achieve the goal of increasing sales through maintaining appropriate inventory levels and selling to on/off premise accounts as well, the successful candidate will:

  • Deliver exception customer service with both distributors and accounts.
  • Achieve Brewery yearly Barrelage goal
  • Develop and maintain key account relationships
  • Contribute strongly to the continued growth of Reuben’s Brews
  • Conduct regular ride withs (internal and with wholesale partners) and build relationships
  • Represent Reuben’s at festivals, tasting events and promotions in the territory
  • Understand and embrace Reuben’s beers, our methods and Reuben’s as a whole and those of other craft brewers and mass-market beer producers.

 

Qualifications required:

At a very minimum to be considered, you must have:

  • 3+ years experience in sales and/or marketing
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong systems experience, beer / beverage industry a distinct advantage
  • A detailed knowledge of the beer industry a distinct advantage
  • Ability to work flexible hours/days including nights and weekends. Also includes some overnight travel.
  • A college degree or equivalent, additionally brewing qualifications are an advantage
