Stout Season Begins with an Annual Favorite
Bottles of the 2022 edition of BBIS (Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout) go on sale this Saturday, October 15. For the first time we’re also offering a limited edition vertical box with BBIS vintages from 2020, 2021, and 2022. Plus, we’ll have a five year vertical of BBIS on tap, including 2018, 2019 Cognac Barrel, 2020, 2021, and 2022!
BBIS is brewed using the same oat-forward and British specialty malt recipe that we followed with the original release in 2013. Over the years we have adjusted and enhanced it, introducing new techniques to produce a bigger, richer, and silkier beer. Most of the barrels in this year’s blend have spent about 18 months aging in 8- to 12-year-old bourbon barrels, with the addition of some younger BBIS to contribute to the complexity of this bold imperial stout.
Walk-up purchases of BBIS bottles will start when the Taproom opens at 11am. Bottles and draft will also see limited distribution across the Pacific Northwest later this month. We look forward to serving you on Saturday!
