JOIN US AT THE TAPROOM BEGINNING AT 5PM on Friday, October 8th for the can release of our collaboration with Kings & Daughters! Come meet co-founder and brewer Kyle Larsen and get an early taste of some brand-new beers from this brand-new Oregon brewery.
Beginning of a Beautiful Friendship is a hazy DIPA brewed with Phantasm*, and is a collaboration between Reuben’s Brews and Kings & Daughters. Simcoe Cryo, Mosaic Cryo, Crosby Idaho 7, while also adding Phantasm to the whirlpool. The dry hop features Strata and Nelson Sauvin with a bit more Mosaic Cryo. The result is thick and fluffy with 30% of the grist made up of Wheat and Oats, which carries the flavor of all these special hops well.
We’ll have cans available and kegs on tap of Beginning of a Beautiful Friendship and we will also have another new Kings & Daughters soft IPA on tap: Paradox. This beer follows up on their hit Fill Your Cup, which we poured at our 9th Anniversary “Reubens & Friends” event in August.
*Phantasm is freeze dried grape skins basically, specifically Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc grapes from New Zealand which is a wine famous for rich tropical notes. The science/magic behind it all is highly potent compounds called Thiols that can be “biotransformed” during fermentation. If said Thiols are biotransformed even in small amounts, rich & bright tropical and citrus notes result. Phantasm is loaded with thiols.
