We’re Tapping Two Different Pink Boots Collaboration Beers
On Friday, March 25, the annual Ballard Brewed Coalition and Pink Boots Society collaboration beer releases to the public. Made with six different malts and then generously hopped with this year’s Yakima Chief Pink Boots hop blend, Always Make Waves delivers big grapefruit flavor, some underlying papaya, and slight pine notes rounded out by a gentle bitterness. This hazy pale ale will be available in our taproom on draft and in cans to go.
Plus, we’ll be tapping Brighter Days, an international-style pale ale that we brewed with Pink Boots founder Teri Fahrendorf. Using a touch of Biscuit Rye specialty malt that Teri developed at Great Western Malting, and also hopped with the YCH Pink Boots blend, this beer is a great way to usher in spring.
A portion of sales from both Always Make Waves and Brighter Days will benefit the Seattle chapter of Pink Boots, which supports professional education programs for women and non-binary individuals in the fields of brewing and distilling.
