Help Us Raise Money for City Fruit
We hope you’ll join us on Tuesday, August 23 for Thank You Tuesday. Our goal is to help City Fruit further its mission to harvest and steward Seattle’s urban fruit trees to support sustainable and equitable access to fruit. To do so, we’ll donate $1 from every pint, taster tray, or package of beer to-go to this organization. Stop by the Taproom after 5:00pm to learn more about their work and get involved.
As part of the event, City Fruit will also be holding a bake sale featuring Italian plum tortes and crabapple bread.
City Fruit believes that urban fruit trees are a valuable community resource. Started in 2008 by a group of volunteers who didn’t want Seattle’s excess fruit to go to waste, City Fruit has grown into a nonprofit based in Fremont. Today, the organization focuses on education, stewardship, food policy, and sustainability, in addition to harvesting and equitably distributing fruit.
