2 Days of Hope & Community
At Reuben’s Brews, we’ve never been shy about our “nerdy” side. We’re the kind of people who can argue about hop profiles for hours and then immediately pivot to debating whether Han shot first. We love the lore, the legends, and the sprawling Star Wars universe because it’s a story about the infectious hope and energy that comes when a ragtag group of people joins forces for something bigger than themselves.
This year, we’re taking that energy and channeling it into a back-to-back celebration of our favorite fictional heroes and our very real neighbors.
May 4th: The Rebellion Lands in Ballard
On Monday, May 4th, the Ballard Taproom officially becomes a rebel base. We’ve curated a “Galactic Lineup” designed to fuel your squadron:

The Brews: We’re tapping two exclusive releases—a lush, tropical Hazy IPA and a small-batch Hard Seltzer Infusion.

The Fuel: Visit the Dark Side (just for a snack!) with our “Vader Tots” food special.

The Goods: Grab our Limited Edition May the 4th T-shirt and swag. Like a thermal detonator, these go fast—available only while supplies last starting at 11 AM.

The High Stakes: At 7:00 PM, our friends at Head In The Cloud Trivia will be hosting Star Wars Trivia. Dust off your Jedi robes or don your best bounty hunter gear—wearing a costume enters you to win an exclusive prize pack!
May 5th: Real Heroes, Real Hope
While we love the fantasy of a galaxy far, far away, we know that the themes of bravery and resilience aren’t just for the movies.
On Tuesday, May 5th, we shift from the celebration of the Jedi to the support of real-life heroes. The immigrant and refugee experience is often one of incredible courage in the face of the unknown. As a family of immigrants ourselves, Reuben’s Brews is passionate about ensuring our community has the support it needs to thrive.
For this month’s Grati-Tuesday, we are proud to support World Relief Western Washington. Since 1979, World Relief has helped integrate over 500,000 forcibly displaced immigrants across the nation. They provide the “Force” of legal and social support for those navigating the difficult journey of resettlement right here in our neighborhood.

In Star Wars, we learn that even the smallest droid or the most isolated farm boy can change the fate of the galaxy. Every voice matters, and every action counts.
