With a new season of Ballard FC soccer at Interbay Stadium upon us, we have collaborated with the team on a new India Pale Ale. Named after Ballard FC’s home field, Interbay IPA is made to be a full-flavored yet easy drinking beer that soccer supporters can enjoy all season long. We brewed it to celebrate community soccer and the incredible fans who have shown their support since the beginning.
Our partnership with Ballard FC is rooted in building community. For the past decade we have sought to make our Taproom a gathering space for fans of all ages and walks of life. Similarly, Ballard FC has worked hard to create community around the beautiful game. At the same time, the team strives to represent a neighborhood with a unique pride of place.
We share the belief that beer and soccer can both strengthen community bonds. And what better way to forge friendships and meet neighbors than over a celebratory IPA?
But our commitment to community isn’t limited to the Taproom or the Beer Garden. Interbay IPA also helps build community across Seattle. Last season, Beer Garden proceeds went to the Reuben’s Brews Foundation. This season, profits support the Ballard FC foundation. New in 2023, the Ballard FC Foundation serves as “the strategic umbrella for all community work undertaken by the club both during the season and throughout the year, focused on free soccer camps and clinics in Western Washington as well as an innovative multi-sport academy model focused on holistic youth wellness.”
