Earlier this year we introduced a new beer to our range of everyday favorites. Our goal was to make something approachable that would fit in with a lineup that included two IPAs, a Pilsner, and a Porter. So we designed a hazy Pale Ale recipe that would be easy to drink and hard to put down and called it Reuben’s Crushable.
Since it first appeared back in the spring, the response from fans and critics has been positive. In our Taproom, Reuben’s Crushable is a popular choice with people new to craft beer, its sessionable ABV making it all the more appealing. And when the editors of Craft Beer & Brewing got their hands on a sample, they remarked that its “feeling of width in a very lean package with a tight, tropical citrus bitterness that scrubs the finish makes for an utterly enjoyable beer.” It also won a silver medal at the Washington Beer Awards and the Australian International Beer Awards.
Well, the reviewers at Wine Enthusiast have taken notice too, and they liked what they tasted.
The media company recently placed our hazy pale ale in its list of the top 50 beers of the year, giving Reuben’s Crushable a rating of 92/100. “This list represents the very best submitted to Wine Enthusiast, tasted throughout 2022,” writes contributor John Holl. “If you’re looking for a juicy, easy-drinking pale ale that is best consumed a few pints in a row, this fits the bill.”
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. Find Reuben’s Crushable on tap in Ballard seven days a week or use our Beer Finder to locate this hazy pale ale at a store or a bar near you.
