2022 BBIS Variants Release and Pancake Breakfast

This Saturday, November 5th we’re celebrating the return of Stout season with two very special beer releases at the Taproom.

In addition to BBIS Double Barrel, a returning favorite for many dark beer devotees, we’re also releasing a fun new variant of our bourbon barrel imperial stout: BBIS Drowning in Syrup. And to make the event all the more memorable, we’re pairing these beer releases with a pancake breakfast! Stop by on Saturday between 10:30am and 1pm to get your stack, featuring BBIS maple syrup for the grown-ups, and the zero proof version for the kids.

Both beers will be available for in-person sales at our Taproom while supplies last. We will also be offering a limited number of 3-bottle vertical packs containing 2022 BBIS, 2022 BBIS Double Barrel, and 2022 BBIS Drowning in Syrup (limit 1 per customer). Plus, anybody who purchases 3 or more bottles will receive a free stack of pancakes.

But there’s more! We’ll also have a special lineup of past and present BBIS variants on tap and in our to-go fridges, so don’t miss the chance to taste some of these limited releases side by side.

2022 BBIS Double Barrel

BBIS Double Barrel is an imperial stout aged twice in a blend of bourbon barrels. Starting with 1- and 2-year-old BBIS, we then rebarrel the blend in freshly emptied Heaven hill bourbon barrels. The second barrel treatment enhances the notes of vanilla and oak contributed by the wood, and raises the final ABV to 16 percent. A rich and decadent aroma of vanilla and oak is accompanied by a body full of warming bourbon spice, along with a honey sweetness and dry finish.

2022 BBIS Drowning in Syrup

BBIS Drowning In Syrup is an imperial stout featuring oats and British specialty grains aged in a blend of maple barrels with maple syrup added. These barrels, which previously held bourbon, bring additional nuance to an already complex beer. Oak, cinnamon, and bourbon all stand out in the nose and hint at the bold flavors of sweet maple, chocolate caramel, and slightly smoky whiskey that are carried on a silky smooth body all the way through a lasting finish.
